Marbles Credit Cards

Marbles credit cards entered the UK market in 1999, the same year as credit card brands Egg and Smile were first introduced. The USP (unique selling point) of these new brands was that they were 'internet only' propositions, making them more streamlined than the competitor businesses and enabling them to offer better products to new customers. In practice, the traditional banks and issuers quickly adapted their businesses to meet the online challenge and Marbles credit cards stopped accepting new customers in 2007. The brand has since changed hands a number of times and is now under the control of NewDay, who also run Aqua brand credit cards.
