Prepaid credit card halts overseas ATM fees
By UK CreditCards.com
Caxton FX is to no longer charge extra fees for overseas ATM use on its Euro and Dollar prepaid credit cards.
The provider said that the charges, which previously stood at $2 and €2 per transaction respectively, were "particularly unpopular" among customers.
Caxton FX's Global Traveller prepaid credit card is already fee-free for customers using cash machines abroad.
James Hickman, managing director of Caxton FX, commented: "We have taken this step in response to our customer feedback, which shows ATM fees are particularly unpopular.
"We are constantly trying to improve our products and ensure that we offer the very best value in the market. The removal of all ATM fees will certainly help our customers at a time when family budgets are stretched."
Around 25 million Britons are forecast to defy the financial pressures of the recession and go on holiday this summer.
